The Club Rules

Rules & By-Laws

NARAN CLUB has instituted the following regulations to oversee the utilization of all Club facilities and to enhance the health, safety, welfare, and enjoyment of Members utilizing these amenities. The primary objectives of the Club are to promote social and sporting activities that are non-political in nature. Each Member shall enjoy all privileges of the Club, subject to the constraints outlined in these Rules and the By-Laws. The Club reserves the right to modify these Club Rules at its discretion, with such amendments taking effect upon notification to the members via the office. These Club Rules are applicable to all individuals utilizing the Club facilities, including Members, authorized users, and guests.

01. Hours of Operation

a. The facilities of the NARAN CLUB are accessible solely during the operating hours established and periodically updated by the Club.

b. The Club reserves the right to limit or designate specific areas of the facilities for maintenance, special events, or private gatherings during regular operating hours as necessary.

02. Membership Status

a. The applicant member shall be considered a lifetime permanent member, inclusive of their spouse and children.

b. At the discretion of the applicant member, the spouse member will also be designated as a lifetime permanent member; an additional fee may apply if there is more than one spouse.

c. Children of the applicant member who are under 18 years of age will be granted child membership.

d. Children of the applicant member aged between 18 and 30 years will receive household membership, with an additional fee potentially applicable at the time of application, depending on the membership plan.

e. Existing household members over the age of 30 will need to apply for temporary membership, which may incur an additional fee, along with a requirement to pay a monthly subscription fee.

f. Following the marriage of an existing household member, that member must apply for temporary membership, which will involve an additional fee and a monthly subscription fee.

g. Members who become eligible for temporary membership due to marriage or reaching the age of 30 must submit their application for temporary membership within two years; otherwise, they will be required to pay the full membership fee at that time.

h. A temporary member after utilizing the club facilities for three years will be required to apply for permanent membership, with an additional fee potentially applicable.

03. Membership Cards

a. The Club may provide membership cards to each member and, at the discretion of the applicant member, to their children (up to 30 years of age and unmarried), and authorized users. These cards will identify the authorized holder, the sponsoring member (if applicable), the membership category, and the member's account number and duration.

b. Membership cards must be carried at all times while on the premises.

04. Club Property

a. No individual is permitted to remove any property or furniture belonging to the Club from its premises or designated areas without the Club's authorization.

05. Personal Property

a. Each Member, as a prerequisite of membership, and each designee, authorized user, and guest, as a condition of their invitation to the Club facilities, accepts full responsibility for their personal belongings.

b. The Club shall not be liable for any loss or damage to personal property that is utilized or stored on the Club premises.

c. Any personal property left on the Club facilities for a duration of six (6) months or longer may be disposed of, with any resulting proceeds being allocated to the Club.

06. Liability for Use of Club Facilities; Assumption of Risk

a. Members of the Club shall be accountable for any property damage and/or personal injury occurring at the Club, or during any activity or event organized, arranged, or sponsored by the Club, that is caused by the Member, authorized users, or guests. The expenses for repairing any such property damage will be charged to the responsible Member's club account.

b. Any Member, authorized user, or guest who utilizes or accepts the use of any apparatus, equipment, facility, privilege, or service owned, leased, or operated by the Club, or who participates in any tournament, game, function, special event, exercise, competition, or similar activity, assumes all associated risks.

07. Parking

a. Vehicles must be parked exclusively in designated paved areas. It is imperative to adhere to “No Parking” signs and any reserved parking indications. Noncompliance may result in towing at the owner's expense.

08. Smoking

a. Smoking is prohibited within the clubhouse and in any area where food and beverages are served. Designated outdoor areas are available for smoking.

09. Fireworks

a. The use of fireworks is strictly forbidden on Club premises, except during organized fireworks displays conducted by the Club.

10. Weapons

a. The presence of firearms or any other weapons is strictly prohibited on Club premises at all times.

11. Baseless Allegations Against the Club

a. Any member who makes unfounded allegations against the Club, whether via social media, public forums, or verbally within their community, may face immediate termination of their membership. The Club reserves the right to pursue legal action against such members for defamation or other relevant charges.

12. Non-Discrimination Policy

a. Club members are prohibited from discriminating against any individual based on race, color, religion, marital status, age, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, or any other status protected under federal, state, and city.

13. For Provisional Memberships

a. All Club Rules and By-Laws apply to Provisional Members.

b. Membership allocation will remain provisional until all outstanding dues are settled with the Club.

c. Applicants must make full payment of membership fees within the specified time frame. Failure to remit payment by the designated dates will result in the cancellation of the provisional membership allocation.

14. Reciprocal Members

a. Access to privileges is contingent upon the presentation of a membership card or a letter of introduction addressed to the Secretary/Manager each time a Reciprocal Member intends to utilize the Club's facilities.

b. A Reciprocal Member is entitled to access all available facilities, subject to their availability.

c. The privileges granted may be revoked without prior notice if the Reciprocal Member fails to adhere to the rules and regulations of the host Club.

d. Reciprocal Members may request to reserve rooms, contingent upon availability.

e. A Reciprocal Member is permitted to visit individual stays not exceeding seven consecutive days. Approval from the specific Committee is necessary for any stay extending beyond seven days. Reciprocal Members are granted access to all Club facilities during regular business hours. Arrangements for the use of the Club for events outside of normal business hours must be made in advance with the Club.

f. Reciprocal Members are required to settle their accounts prior to or upon departure, with payment accepted in cash or via credit/debit card.

g. The existing rules governing the use of the Club shall be binding on Reciprocal Members at all times.

h. Reciprocal Members, along with their immediate family (spouse and children), are permitted to utilize the Club's facilities. For larger groups, prior approval from the Secretary is necessary.

i. Reciprocal Members utilizing the lodging facilities at NARAN CLUB will be charged room rates according to the tariff established for NARAN CLUB members.

j. Reciprocal Members are expected to uphold discipline and adhere to the dress code. Any breaches of discipline will be reported to the Club's discipline committee for appropriate action in accordance with Club rules.

15. Use of Reciprocal Clubs

a. Members visiting reciprocal clubs must obtain an introduction letter, providing: Full Name; Membership ID; Contact Information; Reciprocal Club for Intended Visit; Start Date of Access; End Date of Access.

b. The Club requires a minimum notice period of one week to prepare correspondence for local reciprocal clubs and two weeks for overseas reciprocal clubs.

16. Guests

a. Each club member is permitted to host guests on additional charges. Additional guests will necessitate special approval from the club.

b. Guests may utilize the club's dining facilities.

c. Access to the club's sports facilities for guests.

d. Room reservations for guests can only be made by members.

17. Unacceptable Behavior

a. The club expects all members to behave professionally when engaging with fellow members, reciprocal members, or club staff. Members should be mindful of their conduct and its potential effects on others. Any form of unacceptable behavior may result in membership termination.

b. Such behavior includes, but is not limited to, bullying, harassment, and victimization, and may manifest through actions, words, or gestures that could reasonably cause distress or discomfort to another individual.

18. Transfer of Membership

a. Only memberships classified as Permanent Memberships are eligible for transfer with the permission of Club Secretary.

b. An applicant member is prohibited from transferring their membership to their children.

d. A transfer fee amounting to 10% of the current membership fee will apply.

19. Payment Guidelines and Policy

a. All payments made by the applicant are final and non-refundable.

b. The membership fee and processing fee may be altered without prior notification. Applicants are required to pay the current membership fee as listed on our official website and Booking Form.

c. All payments must be directed exclusively to the specified bank account provided herein. Payments sent to any other account will be considered noncompliant and will not be accepted.

21. Application of Club Rules & By-Laws
